Veterinarian Aslıhan Tan said that herbal products are also used in the treatment of animals.

Veterinarian Aslıhan Tan explained how herbal treatment methods are used in animals and their effects.

Stating that homeopathy, also called "the art of healing", has been used for about 200 years, Tan noted that its basic principle is "Similar treats similar".

Aslıhan Tan said, "What we call healing is really a very different concept, it is necessary to look at it holistically, not just using medication. If you solve the essence of the problem, only then can you see a general improvement in the animal."

Stating that the "remedias" used in homeopathic treatment are obtained by diluting many plants and substances, Tan said, "There are many plants and substances in nature. When you put these plants through some processes, we see incredible effects and results."

Tan pointed out that when animals have health problems, they look for and eat some of the plants around them and said, "For stomach ailments, especially when they experience constipation and diarrhoea, they choose herbs that will really relieve their stomach. Herbs prevent vomiting. In case of a vitamin deficiency, they lick a calcareous spot on the wall. They try to get some of the elements they lack from there and benefit from it. The plants from which the remedies are made usually consist of the herbs and plants they choose."

Emphasising that homeopathy is successfully used in many diseases such as infection, burns, allergies, arthritis and joint movement disorders, Tan said the following:

"I use probiotics and prebiotics a lot in my treatments. Likewise, turmeric is a product I use a lot. We also use hemp oil and coconut oil a lot. We use centaury oil for example in many skin diseases and it works incredibly well. We usually give them by mixing them with food or we can apply them locally. There are so many things in alternative medicine. When we combine alternative medicine with modern medicine, I see the effect of this is amazing. Especially in distemper disease, I have seen paralysed animals stand up when we regulate the diet with herbal products."

Emphasising that health problems such as diabetes, cancer and urinary tract stones are more common in animals fed dry food, Tan said, "When animals start to feed raw, incredible changes are seen in their systems. Normally, these animals live by hunting in nature. For example, cats are fed with the system we call "raw". They are more carnivorous. They generally do not want to eat something in the grass style, they refuse."

Tan also stated that raw feeding should be regulated with the help of a veterinarian according to the breed, weight and age of the animal.

Stating that herbal treatment does not have any side effects, Tan said, "While doing one place, we do not spoil the other place. The most important point is this; we get to the core of the issue and achieve better results."

Veterinarian Aslıhan Tan stated that animal owners were initially surprised by the treatment method they applied, but even those who never believed in alternative medicine were convinced by the results obtained, and said:

"We recently experienced such a thing. A seven-year-old dog. He limps from time to time, his hair falls out, his dental health is bad and so on. We organised his nutrition system and gave him a few extra herbal foods. When he came again, I took his video. Zero hair loss, really zero. There is no odour, the animal is very happy and smiling. All of these actually happen with raw feeding, thanks to the herbal products we add to its diet. Patient owners are convinced that it works and the prejudice of those who come with prejudice is definitely broken."
